SCI or shipping Corporation of India has filed its DRHP with SEBI. The company plans to offer 4,23,45,365 shares by way of a fresh offer and the government would be selling an equal quantity of shares, making the total issue size 8,46,90,730 shares. Shipping Corporation’s closing price on the BSE as of 12^th October was Rs 187.70 and assuming this as a base would imply a total issue size of Rs 1589.64 crs. The market cap as of date is Rs7948.16 crs. The present holding of the government in Shipping Corporation is 80.12%, and the issue would constitute 5% of a fresh offer and 5% of an offer for sale.
