The mega IPO from Coal India Limited is likely to hit the capital markets on 18th of October 2010. This issue would be the first issue from the Government which is likely to have an anchor book. With this issue the retail investors limit which is currently upto Rupees one lac would in all probability be doubled to Rs two lacs.

This is probably a way of the Government in rewarding small and retail shareholders by giving a Diwali gift to them. More details on the same closer to the IPO and the road show.
