SEBI has notified that the limit for retail investors has been raised to Rs 2 lakhs. This limit was earlier Rs 1 lakh. This will help issues going forward and would be a big help in the divestment programme of the Government which has a large number of issues lined up one after the other.

SEBI has also made it mandatory for companies to announce the filing of their Draft Offer documents by way of a Public Announcement.
