Coal India has issued a notice to investors offering them an option to withdraw their bids upto Monday the 25th of October. The notice is appended below.

What makes interesting reading is the fact that Friday the 22nd of October is the last date for making corrections to bids received. There is no bank clearance on Saturday and effectively cheques would be sent for clearance/cleared only on Monday the 25th of October. This notice effectively eliminates the possibility of any withdrawals post Monday and ensures that the allotment process is completed in time and the share listed as expected on the 4th of November.
